Facebook Pay will be available as a checkout option for all Shopify sites in the US starting in August.

Until now, Facebook Pay has been a payment system for transactions carried out within Facebook’s own apps. It is used to send money, shop, donate and more.

Starting in August, Facebook Pay can be used by US Shopify retailers, offering a more hassle-free check-in experience for customers.

From August, companies in the US using participating platforms will have the option to activate Facebook Pay as a payment option directly on their websites, allowing their customers to speed up checkout without having to re-enter their payment information.

We are launching with Shopify vendors and expect to expand availability with more platforms and payment service providers over time. ”
